Most caliper pins are made from zinc alloy steel, but ours are precision-manufactured from 316 Stainless Steel. This upgrade delivers superior corrosion resistance and is 2-3 times stronger than zinc alloy steel. This equates to a longer-lasting part and ultimately a lower operating cost.
The OEM Can Am brake pad pins are known to have issues with stripping the head. This is because BRP uses a "Torx Plus" bit instead of a simple "Torx" bit. We have found that just going to a simple Allen head caliper pin makes life much easier. No special tools to look out for and they get a much better bite when removing or installing with the Allen head.
