The rear lower A-arm bolts on the Can-Am Maverick R have a known weakness: they can work themselves loose and, in severe cases, completely walk out of the chassis mount. The result can be suspension failure, costly damage, and a ride-ending situation.

The SHIFT Performance Labs Lower A-Arm Rear Bolt Retainer Kit eliminates that risk with a simple, purpose-built solution.

Our CAD-designed retainer bracket securely locks both rear lower A-arm bolt heads together, preventing them from backing out or walking away from the mount. The bracket is secured with a dedicated nut and provides an additional layer of protection for one of the most critical suspension mounting points on your Maverick R.

Built for strength and durability, the entire assembly is constructed from stainless steel and TIG-welded for a reliable, long-lasting installation.

Much better if upgraded hardware was included

After already breaking one of these bolts I upgraded the bolts to the strongest spec I could find. I currently have a non shoulder bolt that’s a larger size, so this kit doesn’t work. I’m assuming the kit will work with the front bolt kit sold by UTV Race shop, so next prep I’ll try that. I just came up with the solution to my own problem so I’ll change from 3 stars to 4.

This product fixes a real poor factory design problem that many are unaware of, and can cause an incident where ever you happen to be when the failure occurs. I had one bolt come loose and shear off, and the other side was found hand tight by the dealership mechanic while replacing and installing this kit. Thanks for this simple fix!

Works great

Easy install took about 30 minutes. Jacked front of machine up left wheels on. Very simple straight forward.
